Price and fees

How much does it cost to rent a porta potty?

A standard porta potty from Craig Rental Works starts at $165 for a weekend event and $155 per 28-day cycle on a job site with weekly cleaning. Delivery and pickup run $45 to $95 in Lancaster County. Full cost guide.

Is that price per day, per week or per month?

Neither per day nor per calendar month. Events are priced per event, usually Friday to Monday. Job sites are priced per 28-day cycle with 4 weekly services.

Is there a delivery charge on top of the unit price?

Yes. Delivery and pickup is one fee, $45 to $95 in Lancaster County by distance. The fee covers all units on the same trip.

Is delivery charged per unit?

No. Two units or ten units at the same address on the same trip pay one delivery fee.

Are there fuel, card or convenience fees?

No. Our quotes have no fuel surcharge and no card convenience fee. What you see on the quote is what you pay.

What is the total with taxes and fees?

Your itemized quote lists the total including 6% Pennsylvania sales tax. Ask for it by text before you book.

Is a week the same price as a month?

For job-site rentals, yes for the first 28-day cycle: a 1-week rental and a 4-week rental pay the same first-cycle price, which includes weekly service.

What if I need it 3 days past 28 days?

After the first cycle, extra time bills by the week. You are not charged a full second cycle.

Is there a same-day fee?

Yes. Same-day delivery adds a rush fee from $75. Next-day delivery has no rush fee.

Do you give discounts?

Volume orders of 10+ units get better rates. Tax-exempt groups pay no sales tax with a certificate. We do not inflate prices to discount them later.

Do you offer a military or senior discount?

Ask when you call. We keep prices low for everyone, and we will tell you plainly what we can do.

Can you beat another quote?

Send us the other quote. If it covers the same unit, service and fees, we will tell you honestly if we can match it.

How much is a restroom trailer?

A 2-stall restroom trailer starts at $1,195 per event, including delivery, leveling, setup, water fill and pickup.

How much is a handicap porta potty?

A wheelchair-accessible unit starts at $215 per event or $205 per 28-day cycle with weekly service.

Timing and delivery

Can you deliver today?

Yes, in Lancaster County and nearby same-day areas, when you call by 12 pm Monday through Saturday and a truck is free.

Can you deliver tomorrow?

Usually yes. Next-day delivery is standard across our area, except Scranton, Altoona and Erie, which are scheduled.

Do you deliver on Saturday or Sunday?

We deliver Monday through Saturday. No Sunday deliveries. For weekend events we drop Friday and pick up Monday.

Why do you drop off Friday for a Saturday event?

Dropping Friday means your unit is ready before the first guest, even for a morning event. The extra days cost nothing.

What time will the driver arrive?

Deliveries run between about 8 am and 4 pm. The driver calls 20 to 60 minutes ahead. Same-day orders usually land by late afternoon.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

No. Mark the spot and share gate codes. The driver texts a photo when the unit is placed.

How far ahead should I book?

For parties, 1 to 2 weeks. For June graduation weekends and holiday weekends, 3 to 4 weeks. For restroom trailers on summer Saturdays, 2 to 6 months.

Can I reserve now and set the exact date later?

Yes. We can hold a tentative date and confirm it later. Changes are free up to 24 hours before delivery.

Can I change my delivery date?

Yes. Call or text at least 24 hours before delivery and we move it at no charge.

Will you pick it up automatically after my event?

Yes. Event units are picked up on the next business day. Long-term units stay until you call.

Can I move pickup to a different day?

Yes. Call and we will schedule pickup to suit your event.

Units and features

Do the porta potties have a sink?

Standard units have hand sanitizer, not a sink. Deluxe flushing units have a foot-pump sink inside. You can add a separate 2-sink handwashing station.

Do your porta potties flush?

Deluxe units have a foot-pump flush, good for about 50 flushes per fill. Restroom trailers have real flush toilets.

Is there hand sanitizer inside?

Yes. Every standard and accessible unit has a hand sanitizer dispenser.

Do the units have lights?

The roofs let in daylight. For evening use we can add a battery light, or choose a restroom trailer with built-in lights.

How big is a porta potty?

A standard unit is about 44 inches wide, 47 inches deep and 7.5 feet tall. It needs a 4-by-4-foot level spot.

Will it fit through my gate?

A standard unit needs a gate at least 36 inches wide. Accessible units and trailers need truck access to the spot.

Is there a difference between event and construction units?

Event units are newer-looking and are only used for events. Construction units are just as clean after service but built for rough job-site use.

Do you have pink units?

Yes, a limited number. Ask when you book; they go first come, first served.

Can I get separate units for men and women?

Yes. We sign units for men and women on request.

Does it come with a lock?

Units latch from inside with an occupied indicator. For a public spot, ask for a hasp and add your own padlock.

How many people can use one unit?

A standard unit handles about 200 uses between services: about 50 guests for a 4-hour party, or up to 10 workers for a week.

Do you have handicap or ADA units?

Yes. Our wheelchair-accessible units have a ground-level floor, a wide door, grab bars and a 60-inch turning circle.

Are handwashing stations accessible too?

Most stations have a standard sink height. Tell us if a guest needs a lower basin.

Do restroom trailers need power and water?

Yes. A trailer needs a dedicated 20-amp outlet within about 100 feet. A hose is best, but the onboard tank covers most one-day events.

Do you have air-conditioned trailers?

Yes. Our restroom trailers have A/C and heat when plugged into dedicated 20-amp power.

Cleaning and service

How often do you clean the porta potty?

Job-site and long-term units get a full service once a week. Event units arrive clean and stocked and are not serviced during short events unless you add a visit.

What happens during a service?

We pump the tank, scrub and sanitize the seat, urinal, floor and walls, add fresh deodorizer, and restock paper and sanitizer.

Can I get extra cleanings?

Yes. Extra service visits start at $45 per unit. Busy crews and hot weeks often add a second weekly service.

My unit smells. What should I do?

Call (717) 210-4414. We send a truck within 1 business day. Odor usually means the unit needs pumping sooner than its regular day.

How many toilet paper rolls come with each service?

Each service restocks the unit with fresh rolls for the week. Tell us if your crew runs out early.

Do you pump out porta potties I own?

Ask when you call. We can quote one-time pump-outs of customer-owned units in Lancaster County.

Do you pump RV or camper tanks?

We focus on porta potties. One-time camper pump-outs in Lancaster County can be quoted per visit when a truck is nearby.

Placement and access

Where should I put the porta potty?

On level, firm ground within about 15 feet of where our truck can park, 30 to 50 feet from food, and out of low spots that flood.

Can it go on grass?

Yes, on level, firm grass. Soft lawns after heavy rain may need a driveway or patio spot instead.

Can you place it in my backyard?

Yes, if there is a path about 36 inches wide and firm ground. Tell us about steps, slopes and narrow gates.

My driveway is sloped. Is that a problem?

A mild slope is fine; the driver shims the unit level. Steep slopes need a flatter spot.

Do you need an exact address?

A street address or a GPS pin drop works. For farms and new lots, send a pin.

Do I need a permit?

Not on private property in most townships. A unit on a city street or sidewalk needs a street obstruction permit first, such as from the City of Lancaster.

Can I put it near the pool or a tent?

Yes, with 10 feet of clearance from tents, grills and open flames. Keep it on level ground away from the pool deck edge.

What about my HOA?

Most HOAs allow short-term units during active work or events. Check your HOA rules; a side yard behind a fence is often the easy fix.

Booking, payment and policies

What information do you need to book?

Your name, phone, delivery address or ZIP, dates, unit type and count, and the head count or crew size.

Can you text or email me the quote?

Yes. Every quote goes out by text and email so you can forward it to a spouse, board or boss.

Do I pay up front?

Event rentals are paid at booking. Long-term rentals are billed each 28-day cycle by card or approved invoice.

Do you take cash?

We take cards and approved checks or invoices. Our yard is a dispatch site, not a cash office.

Can someone else pay?

Yes. We send the payment link or invoice to whoever you name.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel for free up to 24 hours before delivery for a full refund.

Is it refundable if my event is rained out?

If you cancel at least 24 hours ahead, yes. Same-day rain cancellations after delivery are not refunded, but we can move the units to a new date in some cases.

Are you a local company or a call center?

Local. Craig Rental Works is owner-run from our yard at 1103 Ranck Mill Rd, Lancaster, PA. You talk to our team, not a national broker.

Can I visit the yard to see a unit?

Call first. We are happy to show a unit when a team member is at the yard.

Do I need to sign anything?

We send a short rental agreement by text or email with your quote. Sign on your phone.
