What is inside a deluxe flushing porta potty?

Is a deluxe porta potty worth the extra cost?

A deluxe porta potty is worth the extra $80 or so for parties, showers, church events and small weddings where guests dress up. The flush hides the tank, and the sink inside means no line at a separate handwashing station. For job sites, the standard unit is the better buy.

If you or your guests do not like porta potties, the deluxe unit is the step that makes the biggest difference for the money.

How long does a deluxe unit last before it needs a refill?

A deluxe flushing unit runs about 50 flushes before the fresh-water tank is empty. That covers about 40 guests over a 4-hour party. For an all-day event of 80 or more guests, rent 2 deluxe units or add a mid-event refill visit.

When the fresh water runs out, the toilet still works; it just will not flush. Guests notice, so plan for it.

Where should a deluxe porta potty be placed?

Place a deluxe porta potty on level ground within about 15 feet of where our truck can park. It is a little heavier than a standard unit, so soft lawn after rain can be a problem. A driveway edge, a patio corner or a firm side yard works best.

Keep the unit out of direct sun for summer parties. The fresh water stays cooler and the inside stays comfortable.

Pro tip

Hosting guests who are not fans of porta potties? The deluxe flushing unit is the easiest upgrade. The flush hides the tank and the sink sits right inside, so the visit feels close to a real bathroom.

Deluxe flushing unit FAQs

Do deluxe porta potties really flush?

Yes. A foot pedal pushes fresh water through the bowl. The waste still goes into a holding tank, so no plumbing is needed.

Do I need to hook up water or power?

No. The deluxe unit carries its own fresh water and needs no electricity. We fill the tank before delivery.

Can I get a pink or a ladies' deluxe unit?

Ask when you call. We keep a few units in pink and other colors, and we can sign one door for women and one for men.

Is a deluxe unit the same as a restroom trailer?

No. A deluxe unit is a single portable stall with a flush and a sink. A restroom trailer has porcelain toilets, running water, lights and climate control, and needs a power outlet.

How many deluxe units do I need for 100 guests?

For 100 guests over 4 to 5 hours, rent 3 deluxe units, or 2 deluxe units plus 1 standard unit.

Can I use a deluxe unit on a job site?

You can, but the fresh water runs out fast on a busy crew. Most contractors keep the deluxe unit for office trailers or client walkthroughs.
