What does a restroom trailer need on site?

A restroom trailer needs a dedicated 110-volt, 20-amp outlet within about 100 feet, level ground and a clear path for our truck to back the trailer in. A garden hose connection is best. Without a hose, we fill the onboard fresh-water tank, which covers most one-day events.

How many guests does a restroom trailer serve?

A 2-stall restroom trailer serves about 100 guests over a 4-hour event. A 3-station trailer serves about 150 guests. For a 200-guest wedding with an open bar, plan a 3-station trailer plus 1 or 2 standard units for the catering staff and overflow.

Long receptions past 6 hours, or heavy drinking, push the count up. Run the numbers in our calculator.

Can a restroom trailer go on a farm or in a backyard?

Yes. Most of our restroom trailers go to farms, barns and backyards across Lancaster County. The site needs level ground, firm footing for a truck, a 20-amp outlet within 100 feet and about 12 feet of clear width. Soft fields after rain are the biggest risk.

We walk the spot with you by phone or photo before the date. If power is far away, we can arrange a quiet generator for an added fee.

How far ahead should I book a restroom trailer?

Book a restroom trailer 2 to 6 months ahead for a Saturday wedding between May and October in Lancaster County. Weekday and off-season dates often open up 2 to 3 weeks out. A refundable hold is free until 24 hours before delivery.

You can hold a wedding date early and confirm the final count later.

Pro tip

Check power before you book a trailer. Find an outlet on its own 20-amp circuit within about 100 feet of the spot. Sharing a circuit with the DJ or caterer is the most common reason a trailer loses power mid-event.

Restroom trailers FAQs

Does a restroom trailer need water hooked up?

A garden hose is best, but not required. Without a hose, we fill the onboard fresh-water tank before delivery. One fill covers most one-day events.

Can I plug the trailer into a regular outlet?

You need a dedicated 20-amp outlet with nothing else on the circuit. Sharing a circuit with a DJ or catering gear can trip the breaker.

Is there an attendant?

An attendant is available for large or long events for an added fee. Most weddings do fine with a stocked trailer and a mid-event check.

Will the trailer stay cool on a hot July day?

Yes. Our trailers have air conditioning and heat. The A/C needs the dedicated 20-amp power to run.

Is a restroom trailer wheelchair-accessible?

No. Trailers have steps. Pair the trailer with a wheelchair-accessible unit on level ground nearby.

How long can I keep the trailer?

Event rentals cover the event period, usually 1 to 3 days. Multi-day festivals and long-term rentals are quoted with service visits.
